As much as biotech is a science. Successful investing in bio is an art. After more than a decade watching bio market activity from a retail perspective one critical SP factor is momentum. It can be data driven, retail or Insto or just plain company hype & spin. All of these are difficult to maintain for periods of time. What has emerged is that potential does directly translate to a SP boost. We are in a phase where instos see that retail investors are fickle and shares can be picked up with ease when positive data doesn’t deliver the “expected” boom for the retail cohort. Brokers can easily sell a few short shares on the back of good data and create despondent retail sellers. Meanwhile deals are being negotiated between bio’s and big phara. At this time news goes quiet. SP movement and volume is depressed. Tha company can’t share this information to the market. The market wonders and starts to hedge. Those in the know quietly collect stock. Then, on the odd occasion, when it seems so quiet and dark and you wonder if the sun will rise. The flood lights are on and the deal was done. The 3 month chart looks like a walk to the base of a almighty cliff which you are instantly shot to the top of. IMO negotiations could be happening right now. A deal would be subject to progressive data performance and made public on actual data archiving agreed end points and the big pay day is subject regulators approval of the product. When?
