Red here is the problem. When the base data has been adjusted. When assumptions are made. When the models instruct you on what forcings to use. The maths will invariably point you in one direction. So the peeps putting out the model papers are telling us this. When in fact they are telling us what the programmer was expecting you to get.
A model is a program.

When observations continually diverge from continually adjusted data and models perhaps peeps might want to have a good look at what is going on.
You guys have had so many attempts to explain where the pause went you guys are now tripping over each other to keep your story afloat.
