You do realise that all these 'socialist' notions and loss of sovereignty were championed by the UK, argued for and worked tirelessly to pass onto other EU members? Free movement, Social/worker rights, EU expansion, immigration, etc...
UK was very happy to secure free movement of workforce and to import young people from Pakistan, India, etc. While working tirelessly to get universal social rights passed. So it's retired expatriate workers could be cared for, paid pensions and medical bills by Spain, France , Portugal, erc.
Now you go on about EU and Brussels socialism and how UK is full of immigrants and people being paid social security???? Mind you: countries like Spain, Portugal, etc were imposed their will by UK on them! Not the other way around.
UK was also pushing very hard for EU expansion eastward as it saw those members as allies in it's push to drive a wedge between Germany/France/Nordic states and Russia. As they are natural trading partners and UK importance was diminishing as a bridge between Europe and USA.
Now you going on about EU being full of poor states and somehow it's Brussels fault??? Germany/France/Nordic states weren't really keen to expand that rapidly and have a free movement laws. As everyone would pack their bags and head to Germany/France/Denmark, Holland... Just as it happened. But hey! UK got it's allies in the EU parliament in the form of Poland/Baltic states/Romani/Bulgaria, etc... And you get to blast how EU is imposing it's will over Uk, in your ignorance.
