The Retail investor on HotCopper or other are of no value to the Shorts attempt to create sell volume or other.
It cannot happen through the Retail Holder to any great degree.
When you look at volume above two/three thousand atm its would be Day/Short term traders at play. Taking and/or closing out positions. imo They are the major contributors to volume atm and of no use to the major Shorts
As for the Shorts they will need a big buyer to come in to give them time to get out.
That will (may) happen when the time is right, closer to the starting boom for EVs, Batteries takeup etc
How far away is it? Thats what the shorts are relying on so now we will have more of the same..............down trend in the sector with the shorts playing cat and mouse, will it backfire?
All the big boys have their plan.
As for GXY Whether it was genius or a stroke of luck, Management's selling of a portion of SDV at the time was very advantageous for GXY, NOW.... as long as they can develop SDV with no need for a C.Raise in these early days.!
and thank goodness Management didn't give a Special Dividend or Share buy back to appease some.
They need every cent to get SDV up and running. They're burning through Cash atm
Wouldn't like to be other Lithium non producers or startups in this period.
Theres only a couple of Australian Companies that can weather this period without feeling the pinch. If a CR is needed? GXY should be one?
One thing for sure is GXY's Management have a plan and its working atm
