    The “official “ answer is not only wrong......it is ridiculous!

    Simple gravity/mechanics/
    The vast majority of the tea would fall vertically to the bottom of the vertical pipe, fill it to the level
    of the pipe going to 6 where it would then all flow naturally by gravity into that pipe and down to cup 6

    Maybe a little, a few drops or trickle, would get into the opening and run down the outside of the pipe to cup three.
    But most would flow/fall under gravity past this opening.
