Happy to be corrected if I am wrong, I was doing some research and this is an attempt of joining the dots from the 25 February 2019 announcement further. Specifically…

I could not determine why Calvary Public Hospital, Bruce had suddenly been provided with Patientrack software. Considering the it falls under the Calvary Health umbrella.
Upon trawling through the Calvarycare website and looking specifically at the Calvary Hospital Bruce information I was able to find a ton of information about the specific hospital then also came across a newsletter specific to the Hospital Bruce, extract and link below:

Now, as the article extract says, Mark Dykgraaf was appointed to GM of Calvary Public Hospital Bruce in 2018.
ACT Health signed their first contract with ALC on 5 July 2018.
- We already know that this was a combined ALC/MKM/patientrack/smartpage product.
- We already know that discussions were occurring well in advance from when the contract was signed (prior to the departure of Mark one would assume).
- I am assuming Mark had previously seen the ALC product suite and saw the benefits that it could bring to ACT health and wanted to fulfil those benefits for Calvary Bruce also.
As the article above says, Mark’s role is to drive strategic direction, operational planning, service delivery and management of Calvary Public Hospital Bruce. The article also says he led a range of service improvement programs particularly around patient flow, clinical systems, critical care and emergency response planning (this sounds like ALC!!!!).
If you are considering risk appetite to trying new software of ALC, Patientrack would be the cheapest option of the products on offer I imagine..
Summary…
I expect this to be just the beginning for Calvary Bruce and hopefully the Calvary chain. We now have the foot in the door to spread and expand.
