An active Congressional investigation is something more that a HC conspiracy theory coming from under my tin foil hat or yours.
While there is partisan bias on both sides it maybe reasonable to accept that there was some sort of push by the Trump administration to sell nuke technology to the House of Saud.
At the end of the investigation there will either be to show that the Administration did or they didn't. Let's wait and see but I doubt that this left field issue would have emerged if there were not something already on the table to push for the sale of 40 reactors,
As I see it this is not a left wing vs right wing vs centre thing. The banter of party politics can be fun but selling nuke technology to dodgy regimes that may crumble in in the near future is not fun. The highest risk ATM is Pakistan's nukes.
