Yes the 3X3 fuel tax was a tax to fund fixing ALL the roads in NSW in 3 years for a "tax" of 3c a litre. It has been in force one way or another for many years now. Luckily I lived close enough to the Queensland border and travelled over the border for business at least once a week so I was able to avoid it. I still cross the border on a regular basis. This week I purchased fuel at the Gold Coast 35c a litre less than our local price.
