Having been involved in mine acquisitions and evaluations, I would be very surprised if WAP were being considered intently by a larger company atm. To drill deeper to extend the resource would actually attract more interested parties as you would be lowering the risk of having a less defined resource.
Secondly the cost of drilling deep holes from the surface is weighed up against the benefit of that information. Putting off that drilling until there are better sites underground and saving the money would be a worthy consideration. Drilling holes for shareholders in the short term should not be the driver. They would have a plan with targets set to get them to the next stage of developing the mine.
