Some of us might be confused by the 2 Notice of Changes in Substantial Holding released by ASX on the same day:
- 05/03/19 16:38 Greencape Capital bought 6,904,900shares
- 05/03/19 17:06 Challenger Limited bought 6,895,432 shares
Reading Annexure 2 of Challenger Limited's Form 604, it appears that Challenger has been buying LYC shares on behalf of Greencape amongst others. Therefore those 2 ASX documents would seems to be related.
The bottom line is between 20/12/2018 and 01/03/2019, Greencape has bought a total of 6.9M shares and it had NOT sold any. Would that be a vote of confidence OR it is a ploy to get ready to short? DYOR
