another point to remember here is they are committed to a certain mega PPP project in Melbourne. a JV that may in the red before it starts? losses not yet reported to the market.
agree engineering business will be sold.
Civil construction margins are low especially in NSW, but the positive upfront cash flow from early claims then 90-120 day terms to subbies is a great cash in the bank option for these companies. it allows the other parts of the business to operate with less debt.
