To be fair, shorts have a done a decent job keeping a lid on SP since the HY report. But as I said before, apart from macro risks they probably have run out of ammunition.
They can still try and spin some negative "news" out, e.g. Nestle, BOD selling shares, Sino Kiwi relationship, etc. But I think such stories are getting old and probably wouldn't cause as much harm as before.
