What people here don't understand is that it if you are a total failure, you can redeem yourself by developing a very expensive good, well-developed trial to determine whether or not you are a failure. Then when the conclusive results come in that you are a failure, you can consider yourself a complete success in having developed such a good, well-developed trial to prove you are a failure.
