I seem to remember having a conversation regarding something like this earlier today.
They are saying in earlier anns of 85% clave up time which is 55days a year each clave would be down for sched and unsched shutdowns which is about right as each clave will come down every 3 months for descaling, crack inspections of welds and vslve replacements. So 110 days a year one clave will be running so that is 30% of a year only one clave would be feeding refining circuit meaning at stated size of 2Mtpa with two claves each clave being 1Mtpa, the clave downtime would comfortably allow 3-400kt of processed raw Flem ore to MSP to be refined at Sconi without any capacity upsizing. MSP is approx 65% by volume of Ni and Co.
This small amount would be viable to transport via road.
The refinery could then run at close to 100% capacity year round allowing circa 600t extra Co and 3000t extra Ni production.
This is all just putting out there some scenarios.
