Whilst the sexual goings on at St Pats was abhorrent, I find it difficult, in the extreme, to believe your declaration that 'All male teachers at the St. Alipius Christian Brothers Boy's School were molesting children.' But I do wonder how such outrageous behaviour could have go on unnoticed.
But then I did, at one time, work in an establishment where I reported the CEO for conduct contrary to the betterment of the organisation for which we were both employed. All I received for my trouble was a kick in the proverbial, so maybe, the reluctance to report such behaviour is slightly understandable, especially to a person who is easily cowed in a period where such a declaration would have been received with total disbelief. My long departed aunt (god bless her soul ) would never have believed that a priest was capable of sexual misdemeanours.
