I'm not a network engineer, perhaps this is more a question for RB or grubaru to answer. All I know is that, in the last couple of months there are evidence that foreign countries government, that is china, has an influence on its own countries company, Huawei. If you've looked at report on how much some of these chinese companies will "bend" backwards for its own government, you'll be very surprised. The ban, in this regard, is highly justified. Perhaps its not "fair" to just knock it all out just because they chinese, but really, as a matter of national security, its not something you want to risk. I note that Trump is in Hanoi and is going to meet the chinese and north korea. Perhaps things will change in the coming days.

PS: Seriously, give the man a Peace prize already.
