A cynic might suggest that they "felt it in their waters" (thanks Kim Day!) that this well was not progressing too amazing, raised early, and bought a lot anyway to demonstrate support and subsequently try and settle the market a bit for what they knew would be a very bad day coming. If the raising was delayed it would have been very ugly indeed. Courageous if true! #Justsayin. No accusations, but just trying to understand some quite odd/convenient timing and outcomes. If it was me as CEO, i'd probably have waited a week or two until another successful well was announced, get a boost to the SP and THEN do a raising..... but, not what happened.....
