Thank you for pointing that out. I agree with you on pointing out that my measure relates to an oz^2 measure.
I actually prefer my measure because there is a non-linear relationship between the AISC deviating from $1 000/oz, penalising or rewarding as they deliver more expensive or cheaper ounces. While the measure that you point out is definitionally sound, the AISC would have a linear weighting on the valuation. I think I will have to ensure that my unit of measure is defined correctly in this case. However, the interpretation of the numerical value of the measure will still hold as long as they are being consistently applied to different mining companies.
