so you don’t recon wagovt is like every dog I’ve owned who will seek out some horse poo or other horrible stench and roll in it as much as they can.
Hopefully CCR have done enough and wagovt isn’t scared off by negative media reporting. Hopefully the senate can review the R&D credits so it applies on new projects rather than retrospectively to further aid CCE getting over the line.
I did wonder why abc et al came on so strong all of a sudden when it been happening so long, did the author/reporter or someone they know get burnt.
I would suspect they’ll do what you suggest wait for something to take attention away from bad news on cce or that they will wash their hands very by laying blame solely at CCE feet - potentially damaging CCE reputation irreparably. Wagovt aside from Alannah directorship in 2013 and “dubious” tender process have theoretically done due diligence and if a company becomes bankrupt after fact they are hardly to blame. As wagovt now knows there’s a significant risk (unless cce has found the cash) if they continue and cce has further negative results and wagovt lose money then definitely senate commitees etc should be called to investigate. I said before politicians are interested in their own agenda and will do whatever they can to prolong a career so they will either try get this over line to share in the accolades of a project success or they wash hands and distance themselves - whatever is case I’d like to see what John Davidson knew and when and what CWE knew.
Be nice if CCE can turn this around but it’s not looking great.
here’s their original proposal heavily redacted in spots... http://www.parliament.wa.gov.au/publications/tabledpapers.nsf/displaypaper/4012386c6e9a65cebd2773b8482583a0000b50e1/$file/tp-2386.pdf
