Make the prices cheap and it will be overused, and resistance will be reached faster. Get Pharmas to hold back on release and the patents run out. Extend patents and bacteria could become resistant to the antibiotic before the patent runs out and generics miss out.
Love Bernies suggestion. Give the developer a one time prize and no patent protection after approval.
