It doesn't pass any test - not even the Motley Fool test (see their quote below).

There are some things we are not being told IMHO.

Here is a quote from "The Motley Fool" analysts yesterday.

    (Quote - The Motley Fool)

" ..... Netcomm is arguably worth more than what CASA is paying for it.

CASA is the real winner in this transaction as the Netcomm hardware business makes a very nice fit to its software focused solution to the telecommunications market.

Netcomm's board has thrown its support behind the takeover proposal but shareholder approval and the Australian Foreign Investment Review Board’s (FIRB) blessing is still needed to consummate the deal.

We don’t see either as being an issue, particularly since CASA isn’t Chinese owned and will be spared the “Huawei scrutiny” ".

    (End Quote)

I agree with them when they say Netcomm is arguably worth more than what CASA is paying for it.

EVERYONE now knows this to be true, even all the analysts.

I disagree when they say that the deal will be spared the "Huawei" scrutiny.

    So here's a question.
Why did they even deem to have to mention Huawei, or the Huawei scrutiny?
Huawei is Chinese, why do they think they have to mention the Chinese?

Who bought this (Chinese element) to their attention?

Could it be something to do with CASA China producing the products, or that CASA China has big contracts with the Chinese government, or that the 3 principles of CASA are all Chinese?

Has anyone investigated the citizenship and nationality rights of the 3 CASA principles?

Do they hold USA citizenship? Where were they born? Do they have links with the Chinese Communist Party or government?

The Motley Fool are being (real) fools if they think the FIRB will not want to know the answers to all of these questions and more before granting this takeover.

    Why?

Because we are talking about the fundamental infrastructure of ALL Australians.

Why did The Motley Fool even think they had to pass a comment on Huawei?

There was a famous newsletter I used to subscribe to - which had a great title.
" Things that make you go hhhhhmmmm.... "

Something's not right with this, when even the analysts sniff an issue or two.

Like we have all said here - there is something suspicious about all of this.

Let's hope the FIRB get to the bottom of it.

However, I did get the impression from The Motley Fool that they think there will be higher offers, and I tend to agree with them. I think this is just the start. I don't think CASA will be the eventual buyer.

I think there will be some very nervous politicians at the end of the day, especially at election time.
This issue is just another part of protecting Australia's borders.
    Questions will be asked.

I think there will be multiple offers for Netcomm now, and I 'm prepared to put out a wild guess and say the eventual takeover price will be around $1.60

I think those people buying in 500,000 share lots on Friday also know this.
There were multiple people/bids for well over half a million dollars each.
Somebody knows this is just the opening gambit.

    Watch this space.
