Rusca Bros were most likely on a performance based contract with some kind of probationary period built into their contract. They were only at the site for 2-3 months. Now we know why Merlin are investigating underground mining. Claiming $1,000,000 sounds excessive and this is the crux of the article " former contractors and employees who claim they are owed more than $1.2 million". The other $200k from disgruntled 2015 employees who weren't paid while the mine was not operating! Talk about kick a dog when it's down.
Interesting Joe gave comments to the media, hopefully he directly addresses shareholders shortly.
