In our country of Australia it is a criminal offence for any person to employ or have an armed bodyguard (There is no such thing as an armed body guard for self protection or to protect any other person in our country) However to clarify you may employ an armed security guard that has acquired a H6 fire arms license for a premises which has valuable items eg Diamonds and cash and for transit of those items...But the armed security guard is there for a deterrent and not there for personal protection so big Joe is mouthing off
