They just had the company head honcho on Sky Business waxing lyrical on those things you've mentioned, I didn't know much about QHL so thought I'd take a look. Looks like they're going to need a lot more in the way of profits going forward because Commsec is telling me they have Debt/Equity 234% and Net Gearing 185%. So you're right, it's a punt, a long term one by the look of things, especially on the debt front, or perhaps I'm missing something.
