This is the issue, had either of the two (bank or borrowers) behaved responsibly none of this would have happened..this is a failure on both sides but the LAW demands that the banks behave responsibly because they are perceived to be the more astute/knowledgeable of the two.
I totally agree that people should take responsibility..unfortunately the litigious environment I world is being brought up in now, it seems everything is fair game to take to court to try and gain or prevent a loss.
