Which is why Emmett always said that PNG was the long term future of the company. Look back over the co presentations going back for years and you will see that graph they used to publish of PNG LNG revenue rising as revenue from existing oil fields fell away. Well, where is PNG? In court. Obviously there have been major hick-ups along the way (POO collapse, bond maturity crisis, unfavourable terms of debt) but the optimism that was behind this company a few years ago is not going to return any time soon.
