they can't ask such high % interest anymore...good for customers, not good for shareholders.
But if there is a downturn in the economy, then more people will be looking for loans....which is good for shareholders.
And more people looking to buy 2nd hand items.
So for those investing with a belief in a coming recession.....well..........????
