As I have said in a previous post, the fact that edencrete has been approved and is being used by federal and state funded projects is absolutely huge. It's a kicked goal of enormous significance.
Not to put a dampener on it, but something that really needs to be considered is the marketing strategy. I've mentioned this before but it should be becoming obvious to many by now that we've got a large team involved in sales and yet very few actual sales. Obviously the Georgia DOT sales are good and all things being equal will continue but where are the other sales? A couple of driveways and a bit of shotcrete .. I mean come on! What resources have the sales team got at their disposal? We're blaming the conservative nature of the concrete industry and naturally enough there is merit to this argument but I don't believe it's the whole story.
According to the Anns, we have over 8 full time sales staff and have had so since around Oct 2016 .. yes that long! I believe there could be more sales staff than that by now. You've gotta start asking the question after all this time, who is running the strategy, what have they achieved, are there approaches that could be getting significantly better results? Are traditional ways of selling disruptive technologies going to work? I think we have the answer to that by now.
It's my belief that edencrete will take off but the expedition of that process has not been facilitated by the sales strategy. I would say it has started to take off despite the sales strategy. Once again, I say it's time for a change. Look at the runs on the board. Get some goddam experts on marketing disruptive technologies in. Eden has shown adaptability by developing and pushing new products when others have hit a wall. The present product we know is a king maker so let's see some adaptability in the marketing strategy.
