SPX - the cycles for the SPX are different to the XJO. my current cycle analysis on the SPX appear out of sycn. I find it a very hard index to analyse cycle wise.
Nevertheless I went back to the drawing boards and started fresh. I had to go all the way back to 1978 to find a cycle that matched the madness of the SPX. SO it appears that the next cycle for the spx only kicks in on the week of the 11 March 2019 if the analysis is correct. there is a possibility of a smaller cycle next week but it is not as clear as the one falling on the 11 March 2019. this cycle coincides with the start of the 1987 meltdown and the start of the rally post the GFC on the week of 13 mar 2006.
I do think at the moment we will see higher price action on the SPX to the targets mentioned including 2800, 2805, 2844, 2869 areas.
as seen in the chart below, unlike the XJO, there is some head room above for the SPX to travel before hitting the trendline.
