Interesting development during the week - Tesla taking steps to acquire Maxwell Technologies for $213m, a 55% SP premium. (1)
"Maxwell claims to have demonstrated that its proprietary electrode can enable an energy density of over 300 Wh/kg." (2)
By comparison, C4V's "Solid State Battery demonstrated in New York has specific capacities of 380 Wh/kg." (3)
C4V appears to be ahead of piers in the race for better performing batteries and especially solid state. Importantly, "Magnis has exclusivity to C4V IP." (3)
Magnis' completion of 10% ownership of C4V was a strong move imo
