You are beating a dead horse mate. I have been trying to get this message across for yonks. But what would I know - a retired mining engineer with extensive experience in the eastern Victorian goldfields.
The mine produced less than a million ounces during its previous life so it is highly unlikely that a 200,000 oz reef grading several ounces is to be found. The geology does not support such a thought.
A trip underground to all levels above the ten will demonstrate how much hand sorting took place - mullock stacked beautifully in old voids. Reefs are flat lying and dirt will not rill - require scraping/washing. Extensive ground support needed although, in saying that, the rock is competent.
i am not a naysayer, merely a realist, and am supporting your posts as you are one of the few on this forum who has a knowledge of underground mining.
