I see your point.. However I think your looking way to deep into it. Personally I don't see the link politically on a trade or business level and I don't think we will be punished because of china/NZ difference's... The Chinese government has enough going on I don't think risking Australian trade relations because of sour grapes with N/Z during current political difference with other major world players is something beneficial to the Chinese. My assumption and thats what it is, is they would currently be leaning more towards nurturing relationships with long term alies and maintaining good relations with stable trade partners like Australia. So I still don't  see the link..
