It's all just becoming comical. Every single day a few grand worth of shares trading in the auction to make sure the share price ticks down for the day. Whatever the reason someone wants to play stupid games and pick up shares so bad right now is beyond me. Put it this way, there were well over 3 million shares bid for at 2.3c at the end of the day and just 100K on offer at 2.4c, none all day had traded at 2.3c. Miraculously at 4:01pm "someone" felt it would be much safer to part ways with some shares into the 3 million bid rather than wait until tomorrow and sit behind just 100K shares at 2.4c. Sure, that's what happened!!! How about waiting for the drill results and the DFS to come out before running scared? Then again, if it's one nominee account selling to another, I take that back and we're all buggered if we're relying on the ASX to intervene.
I think the only thing more ridiculous is this constant chatter about selling our vanadium into the battery market. Hey, I've got an idea!! Why not just concentrate on what's happening in the steel industry?! You know the same one that buys 98% of the vanadium on the market at the moment. The same market that has just come through major shortages now that the Chinese are actually taking quality somewhat seriously.
So here's a novel idea. How about people just take a deep breath and see if AVL can add another 10 years to the mine life, finish the DFS on time and sure up a JV with a steel company. A deal where we supply someone exclusively with one of the biggest, high grade deposits on the planet at a 10% discount on spot rates for 20 years, and in return we merely ask for the funding of the plant to get it for them! What does the discount matter!!??Get out a piece of paper and figure out what kind of deal that is for someone critically needing a secure supply of vanadium.
If that cannot be accomplished, then you might as well let back in the sheep to come and crow about the doom and gloom in store for this company! People seem to think that AVL and it's management cannot execute the promises they have made. I certainly hope that the faith that many holders have put in them pays dividends, and judging from the group of largest share holders in the company, it would seem there is still that belief.
Good luck......
