Closing Data
US Indices on Tuesday's close: SPX: (+1.29%), NDX: (+1.53%), Dow: (+1.49%) and RUT: (+1.27%)
ES and SPX opened on a gap and when it was not filled, traders went with it to leave it sitting on 2744.33 and the 200 day moving average. NDX is back right at its 61.8% retracement area. NYSE closing auction was similar to the past several sessions, with a moderately large sell imbalance at 15:45 ET and a flip to positive at the close. XSO seems to be having a good day through that resistance point?
Tuesday's Market Internals: NYSE A-D lines: +1492. NYSE breadth: +3.61:1 and NASD breadth:+3.42:1. NYSE cumulative TICK: stronger than yesterday by far and climbing steadily into the close. TRIN: .87 -- buying pressure.
NYSE MOC: At the reveal there was a -1B imbalance which shrank and then ended at a modest +298M to buy. SPX volume: 2.29B. SPX composite volume: +15.61%. NYSE composite volume: +15.53% and NYSE total volume: +7.31%. Implied Volatility: VIX: 15.43 or -3.38%, VXH19: 16.70 or -0.15% and VXJ19: 16.90 or +0.15%. NYMO: 38.3541.
Guilty as charged, Commander @ammie. I should have added a hyperlink. There are others who could cause a wake too, of course. Speaking of politicians, our/your ex PM was well received on Yankee tv yesterday, talking about trade war issues. Very informative.
