    @daveironore - a lot to think about there and some of it doesn't seem to fit. But....in the sharp downturn that the S&P had late last year, commodities didn't do too badly. But I know what you mean, hard to understand how there could be a longer term bear market in stocks but commodities go up. Perhaps we have to consider China. I just have this feeling lately that the effect of China isn't being fully appreciated - but the markets are and this could be why we have so many question being put to us by the performance of many commodities. I know - not making much sense.

    I mentioned tin prices some time ago in my notes. Sort of liked it and it has tended to improve with some of the other metals. I think longer term it is fine but short term it got a bit overbought. Not really up to speed on tin stocks but I am sure there are more knowledgeable people here that will be able to fill us in on this.
