I've worked at Nifty and I can tell you that:

1. There has been a 3rd Jumbo there for the last 12 months. On hire from a contractor. so is the 3rd jumbo purchased to replace the hire one or in addition?

2. Jumbos don't produce ore. They do development to access the ore. This is a long process requiring many metres of development.

3. If you don't plan your development right you can have jumbos sitting around waiting for work. You need about 6 - 8 headings per jumbo to keep the cycle going. They will need to be on their toes with planning.

4. The crews were on a 2:1 roster (3 crews) and a 2:2 roster (4 crews) still has the same time on site. The fatigue of the workers isn't the issue its the turnover and recruitment process that leaves crews undermanned. It always has been. And Jumbo operators are very hard to get atm.

5. Moving to the eastern lodes requires the extension of the mine infrastructure. Mine ventilation has been a constant problem there and has again just recently. There could be major works required before these eastern lodes are productive.

So I would be very surprised if theres a 50% increase in output this quarter.
