Just been doing some research on the Battery anode front.
It seems as usual China is leading the charge here as expected, but what is trending is High End Artificial Graphite, although this market is small it has room for competitors. One of the main suppliers to Market is BTR.

BTR New Energy Materials will produce 60ktpa of anode material from this year with three other 100,000tpa plants due to come online by 2020.
Feedstocks are needed & just for these 4 anode factories it is estimated at 480,000tpa of mined flake graphite and a further 140,000tpa of synthetic graphite is needed. So approx only 60% of the feedstock in weight, is actually used for the Anode itself.

BTR's research is focused on spherical properties that they can help natural and synthetic graphite work symbiotically to produce a better end product...

So begs the question is the FBR a one trick pony or can it achieve something that is a well sort after to advance the anodes performance in a battery cell.
