JAKARTA, LELEMUKU.COM - The Indonesian government through the Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Dwi Soetjipto said that it had brought in a number of oil and gas experts from abroad to discuss the Masela Eternal Field project in Tanimbar Islands, Maluku Province.
"The experts from each party have met. Further discussion is about the technical review," Dwi said when met at the DPR / MPR Building, Jakarta, Monday (4/2).
To CNBC Indonesia, Dwi said, the discussion with consultants from the Energy World Corporation (EWC) was carried out on Friday (1/2) last week. Later the experts will provide input in the preparation of the Masela Block Plan of Development (POD). Especially those related to technical issues.
Furthermore, he said, in providing these inputs, he would consider several technical aspects, such as the weight of the equipment, then design studies would also be carried out. So, later it can save on capital expenditure that will be issued.
"So all the design aspects that will have an impact on finance from the beginning are reviewed because in the end, if we have the cost recovery, we will secure everything," he said.
He also confirmed that the scheme used was still an onshore scheme, because the scheme was the most suitable.
"So, later there will be a floating storage for the separation of oil and gas. While the LNG is onshore. That is being discussed because it has an impact on the cost," concluded Dwi.
