Coppers,
I happen to know that every single one of the big 4 banks plus AMP and IOOF have all been pitched the Dubber call recording platform over the past 18 months or 2 years at the most senior levels.
So, regardless of the Hayne report’s recommendations, some if not all of these institutions must now be examining how they can switch on call recording for their advisor teams in order to appease the regulators who will be looking at their compliance systems much closer. This is just imo, of course.
There are a couple of critical steps now required to enable this to happen; one is called Telstra and the other is called Optus. Both these telcos control the vast majority of the comms platforms used by these big companies. If McGovern and co can sign deals with the telcos (they’ve already signed up Vodafone) then we should see a massive increase in user numbers in Oz. But, given the amount of effort Dubber is putting into their overseas markets of USA, UK and Europe, it might not currently be their key focus.
Just spitballing a few thoughts here.
Cheers,
Wiz
