This is why they are starting in TB air filtration, the air is just one small part to help control this disease but most critical where people gather who may have TB. Just an extract.

Tuberculosis, an infectious disease caused by bacteria, is a leading cause of death worldwide, despite being preventable and often curable. Approximately a quarter of the world’s population has “latent” TB, meaning they have been infected by TB bacteria, but are not yet ill with the disease and cannot transmit it, about 10.0 million develop “active” TB each year, which can be spread to others.
When a person with active TB coughs, sneezes, or spits, the bacteria spreads into the air where it may be inhaled by and infect others. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), people with active TB can infect up to 10-15 other people through close contact over the course of a year.
TB is found all over the world, though the majority of TB cases are concentrated in developing countries.
