    One of those threads where you scratch ya noggin and suggest to yourself you should really invest more time in TA.

    And then you start thinkin about all the different types of stocks, all at different stages in their life cycle and what would apply to one might not neccessarily apply to others and transaction life cycles and a million other variables.

    All SO confusing, I've seen 100's of very impressive looking charts in my time on STT, biased towards the small cap and spec end, would like to know the confidence limit of success in hindsight ?

    Commonsense to me would suggest its not 'how' you do something but 'what' you do.

    The 'what' comes before the 'how'.

    One thing that is never discussed on STT is the easiest way to make realistic returns from the market, not %'s but absolute dollars, so 1st question to be answered is what am I trying to do here?

    But in saying that I realise that is not neccessarily what STT is for.

    I'm old enough to realise the desired state is one of simplicity, and the 'easiest way' is huey tellin ya its the right way for who you are.

    Never understood STT's addiction to % gain, to me counterintuitive. should be method based through experience..

    Gotta do your apprenticeship and survive, if you can do that your ahead of 75% of the other punters.

    Know a lot of people who access the market, a small percentage are very successful and they don't all use the same strategy but a commonality exists;

    They spend time in before they invest in.
    They treat it as a means of accumulation not speculation.
    They understand basic risk management.
    They know they are not the smartest guy in the room.

    So what does that mean, all sounds a bit wishy washy?

    I don't know, was write this post or have another game of AI chess, just been hammered 5 games straight at next level up so not going there again, am smart enough to recognise a trend so maybe TA is the answer
