Bankruptcy has many more implications for a business person than just losing the equity in his house .
I do not know the intricacies of Singapore Law but probably requires him not to be a director of a company and other restrictions in what he can do . A lot of reputational damage .Loss of " FACE " has heavy ramification in Asian Societies .
