Personally i haven't experienced it when those making the decisions are having to either stump up a lot of cash themselves or they end up being severely diluted. Sure one could say the directors can always fall back on granted options to maintain their stake. But there are not that many options out there with this one.
Once a resource calc is completed for S.N that should help ease the way for financing to be available. A BFS would have to be completed first.
Of course i could end up being wrong. But that's the way i see it at the moment.
