I don't think that really makes sense.
If anything the opposite would be better.
E.g if you have a capital gain (like me), buy the shares before the dividend, and then use this loss to offset the gain. (I might do this).
You are really only gaining like 2% or whatever the risk free rate is from now until implementation if you calculate it.
