There is also a distinction between a "Tier 1 gold mine" and a "world class gold deposit ". A world class gold deposit won't necessarily translate into a Tier 1 gold mine depending on what industry standard you use. I'm not even sure that an industry standard is widely recognised for these two terms.
I've previously on WAF threads posted Singer's definition of a world class gold deposit (not to be confused with a Tier 1 gold mine). Singer places a cut-off of 3.2 million ounces gold on his definition of world class (see my post below).

When I wrote that post in April of last year the Sanbrado project resource stood at 2.1Moz (Indicated) & 0.7Moz (Inferred). Total 2.8Moz. Someone else may want to check to confirm these figures.
There is little doubt in my mind we will get to the Singer criteria of 3.2Mozs before not too long (maybe after production commences and access to deep UG drill positions can be estabilshed or with further deep drilling).
I think you can safely say Sanbrado will become a world class gold deposit, by Singer's definition. Esh
