WBT has been trading as low as 2.3 cents and high of 3.2 over the last few month, with only a very moderate/small turnover at best. This indicates to me that no big dumping has been taking place or for that matter, no serious buyers have taken a shine. This is a little surprising considering the achievements and significant milestones that have been announced to the market.
This could be some of the logic behind the share consolidation proposal, the BOD are simply not catching the eyes of the end of town that drives prices North, but only getting played by the minnows who play with penny shares to pay the rent.
If a consolidation shakes out these penny pinchers trading pips, who are only concerned with short term gains, and have no real concern about the SP or company as long as it can be pumped and dumped for a quick profit, then it can only be to the benefit to those who are here for the journey. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing whatsoever against anyone who plays the market daily to make a fast buck, everyone has a right to play the game the way they like.
I do however feel that the time is right for WBT to move up a league or two and move from a day traders playground to a Medium/ High risk share for serious investors and fund managers to place in their portfolio. If / when this happens, sit back and watch this greyhound run.

They've been quite upfront about discussions with potential partners. It's been in progress for a while and these partnerships are in the plan for 2019. They've been under discussion without the need for consolidation until now. I would have thought that most of the discussion is around WBT's technology and its prospects - and that won't change regardless of consolidation.
If they have decided to consolidate because no-one's biting, then that's a concern. It means that companies have viewed WBT's technology with a critical eye and said nope, not interested.
