Perhaps it does, its a fair point. Personally I don't this that matters, if they extend and some investors or parts of the market view that unfavourably it will only have a short term impact.
It also looks unprofessional to not be able to resolve it in the timeframe stated. It may not be the case but it appears that way and that isn't good for our confidences.
I'd rather the BOD ignored any negative sentiment when considering if they need a further extension. Their focus on getting the best possible value for shareholders/the company should be at the forefront of there minds.
I'm sure negotiations are complex and potentially be with multiple parties, including Chinese companies, who would love to use the market pressure to get one over on us. So if we do get an extension I think we should view it within this context and be assured that the BOD are working to get us the best deal possible.
