    Who is the reliable source?
Who did you speak with,  Saki Macozoma or Brian Gilbertson?
Saki Macozoma is the heavy weight behind Tshipi, and what he says goes. The JMS CEO Pritank Thapliyal is just the puppet for Brian Gilbertson.
Yes, its possible to ramp up Mn ore production but it won't happen.
So unless you spoke with Saki Macozoma then its just hot air.
Did you know that JMS and Mainstreet774 had planned to sell the Tshipi mine?
Did you know that they already had an offer of US$1.2 billion (R15 billion) for the mine which they intended to proceed with?
However when the new Mining Law Chapter 3 was announced the offer immediately dropped to US$450 million.
Brian Gilberston had no option but to list JMS on the ASX as the offer of US$450 million was for 100% of the mine and they would lose money.
You also need to remember that Saki Macozoma is also the head of Ntsimbintle who own 74% of Mainstreet774.  Which in turn owns 50.1% of Tshipi.
Ntsimbintle has two more large Mn ore deposits that they intend to develop, the two mine plans are already fully approved and construction could start at anytime.
Do you really think that Saki Macozoma will agree to increase Tshipi production when as the major shareholder owns two more huge Mn ore deposits?
These two new mines + the 74% of Mainstreet774 owned by Ntsimbintle will be part of the JSE listing in 2019.
Also remember Saki Macozoma was once a member of Parliament and also the CEO of Transnet.
Guess where any extra rail capacity will go to in the future? Ntsimbintle who will have two new mines  on line that will need 2 or 3 million tonnes of capacity.
But heh, I guess you blokes knew this already.
