This is going to be one of the hardest things to pick.
The rate of ' improvement ' in new cars, particularly in evs, is going to probably make second hand ones pretty cheap. Given the battery development that's coming, the next model could have significantly more range or much faster charging for example.
On the other side of the coin, these new skateboard platform style cars wil probably have the ability to be updated, repurposed or whatever because of their flexible design.
Then there's the third factor. Autonomous driving. I think when that comes out, people will stop buying cars. In cities in particular. They will just use a ride sharing/hiring app and never have to own a car again.
There's a lot of change coming and I'm not sure which way it's going to go. Yet.
