Friday afternoon wine club !
As far as blind tests and value goes I reckon my Madeleine had more merlot than I was expecting (I think that was the soft bit?) and I could have picked it in a blindfold test ellimb.
Not because I know anything about wine but because it had a strangely similar character to my much appreciated Cullen sparkling Chardonnay.
Projection ? Confirmation bias ?
Maybe both because I never heard anyone else draw a similarity between fizzy white and red.
Still in case I am NOT imagining things I have given myself a new year mission .
Ie I need to to try a Moss Wood and maybe a Woodlands to see if it is the Wilyabrup terroir I was tasting or Vanya Cullen the winemaker’s hand.
(either would be cool )
It is a very nice wine and I have a little saved for later tonight : )
